It is time to experience ART MART II at Gurgaon
Art Mart II, a pan India art event, is expected to be a larger and more focused exposition with over a 1000 art works and participation by hundreds of artists, galleries and stalls. The thrust of Art Mart II is primarily on emerging artists.
FOLLOWING THE success of the first Art Mart that saw participation by several hundred artists and galleries and attracted thousands of visitors with crores worth of business; Art Mart appears in its second edition over three days i.e. September 10 – 12 (Friday – Sunday). The venue remains the well known cultural destination- Epicentre spread over 40000 sq meters of especially designed space in the millennium city - Gurgaon.
 
Art Mart II, a pan India art event, is expected to be a larger and more focused exposition with over a 1000 art works and participation by hundreds of artists, galleries and stalls. The thrust of Art Mart II is primarily on emerging artists and their creations to make them more accessible to a growing number of young educated collectors who frequent and inhabit the city. It aims to provide reputable galleries with a platform to network, showcase and market their collections to an expanding group of old and new collectors. Having set up a precedent through its first edition, Art Mart II is expected to draw many more art lovers, collectors, artists, dealers, curators, experts and art enthusiasts.

All the exhibition stalls and associated events are housed within the expansive hall and surrounding courtyards for better impact and accessibility. Some of the special highlights of Art Mart II are listed below:
Millennium City: Through Your Lens
A community initiative open to all amateur and professional photographers inviting them to capture the spirit of Gurgaon. The selected photographs to make Gurgaon Wall exhibition curated by well known photographer Dinesh Khanna. Last date for entries: September 2
Sculpture Courtyard
An outdoor exhibition of sculptures and installations featuring work themed around a range of playful art, curated by Sushma Bahl and Uma Prakash. Artists featured include Anjolie Ela Menon, Anil Dayanand, Arpana Caur, Arzan Khambatta, Avijit Dutta, Dharmendra rathore, Dhruva Mistry, Kishore Chakraborty, Kumar Ranjan, Mukul Panwar, Paresh Maity, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Rajesh Ram and Sachindernath Jha amongst others.
Art from Africa

A handpicked exhibition of paintings by artists from Tanzania and Kenya presenting a broad sweep of African art curated and brought in by renowned artist and author Muzu Sulemanjee from Dar-E-Salaam. 

Cricket Series by Baba Anand
A special exhibition of paintings by Baba Anand featuring the IPL will be held in the Epicentre Art Gallery to mark the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in October.  , 
An open platform for celebrating emerging contemporary art and artists
Art Mart II will include high quality directly sourced original paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, installations, photographs and new media art representing the full spectrum of contemporary Indian creativity by established and aspiring young artists from across the country, on show and sale in the stalls – all reasonably priced and accessible to public and collectors with variable pockets and tastes.

Associated events
Ranging from an Art Appreciation Course, Draw and Paint workshop, Snap it Up Photography workshop, Face 2 Face for buyers with artists, On The Spot Painting Competition for children, an Art Camp for artists, a Panel Discussion for experts, live sessions of portrait and caricature painting for the public as well as Art Book Café and a Collectors' Lounge have been lined up as detailed below to give people an opportunity to interact with artists, consultants and experts.
The exhibits include paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, installations, photographs, prints, digital and video art, mixed media and performance art to represent the full spectrum of contemporary Indian creativity of high aesthetic merit and value from all over the country that individuals, institutions, hospitality businesses and corporate houses will have access to. This is the annual meeting ground for connoisseurs and the art world to interact with each other by bringing many galleries, consultants and artists on a single platform. Institutional and museum representatives have also been invited to partake of the special artistic endeavor.
Participation at the fair is open to galleries, select artists, cultural institutions, art publishing houses; art material suppliers as well as art organizations from anywhere in India and outside and the space is offered on first come first served basis in the three different categories and sizes at specified rates. Registered participating galleries/artists receive an agreed number of cards to invite their special guests to events during the Art Mart weekend as outlined below to make it more interesting and accessible for all – special guests and collectors as well as the general public and media. A team of experts including arts consultants Sushma Bahl and Vidyun Singh are advising and directing the project to ensure its quality, marketing and effectiveness.
