ITBP was established on 24th October 1962. Currently, ITBP is deployed on Border Guarding Duties at Arunachal Pradesh, from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La. It covers almost 3488 Km of India-China border. ITBP is also deployed in managing the border outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000′ to 18500′ in the western, eastern and middle sector of the ‘India-China Border. The CISF was formed in 1969 with an aim to provide security to the PSU’s, who occupied the commanding heights. It is trained for disaster management, biological disaster, nuclear disaster, and mountaineering.

ITBP had invited applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) (Stenographer).
