It's hot, but the temperature will not touch the mark of 50-degree
The weather in India varies dramatically. Although the northern parts of India were cooler this time in the month of April, but in May and the months ahead this part will witness heat waves. From last few days heat waves have thrown normal life out of gear in the northern as well as the central India. The central and southern parts are also boiling.

Chief Meteorologist at Skymet, Mahesh Palawat while speaking about the possible climatic conditions in the coming days said that the present temperature is slightly above normal, and in 3-4 days it will be normal. He also explained the reason behind the late arrival of summers in Northern part of India, and said, “The western disturbances which normally starts from November to February were extended till later half of the April, and hence the the summers came late in Northern parts of the country.”

When asked about the rise in temperature, which is touching 40-42 degrees in North India, while in Central India, it has already touched 45 degrees. He said that this was going to continue for another two months, when the temperature may go upto 45-47 degree, but will not touch the 50 degrees mark.

In Northern India the temperature may touch the mark of 43-44 degrees and in areas near Rajasthan it may go upto 47 degrees. The temperature in the southern part of India is 2-3 degrees above normal and there the monsoon will be on time.

This climatic change is majorly due to ecological disturbance and the fading green cover. About the the amount of rainfall this year Palawat said, “The amount of rainfall will be almost the same as compared to the last year. But the only difference is that the pattern of the rainfall is different, the spell will be short and intensity of the spell will be more. This kind of rainfall is not good for the farmers and the government and district administration should make some arrangement to reserve the water to help the farmers."
