India may still get more than six points even if it draws or beat Syria tomorrow. Even if India is beaten by Syria by any goal margin, it will make it to the final for the second consecutive time.
 
If Sri Lanka beats Kyrgyzstan by a huge goal margin, it will get six points, same as India but as the island country had lost its previous league match against India 1-3 on Wednesday, it would not be able to make it to the final.

According to the AFC rules, head on result comes first before the goal difference while deciding, which team goes to the next stage after the round robin matches. The final which would be played on August 31, would be the repeat of last years clash between India and Syria. Alberto Colaco, All India Football Federation General Secretary cleared the confussion and said that India have already booked its place in the final against Syria irrespective of the last two league matches. He added that under the AFC rules, if two teams get the same points after the league matches, which team advances to the next stage is decided first by looking into the maximum points between or among the contending teams (those who have the same points).
