It's the Congress versus BJP over the CAG report
THE NDA leaders want Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit to resign. They stalled the proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament, took their protest on to the streets of Delhi and want to carry on their fight against corruption till Delhi CM is sacked.

AFTER THE leaders of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) stalled the proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament on the issue of corruption and also took on to the streets of Delhi over the CAG (comptroller and auditor general) report, which has raised its finger on Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit in the Common Wealth Games (CWG) loot, the NDA leaders demanded from the government that Delhi chief minister must be sacked. However, the Congress came in defense of its chief minister and said there was no indictment against her and hence there was no question of her giving resignation.

Senior Congress leader and spokesman Manish Tewari while briefing the media in the Parliament on Monday said that there can’t be double standards for the CAG report. He asked what these NDA leaders were doing in the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, etc., where there were lots of anomalies have been found by the CAG, whether it was Kumbh Mahotsava in Uttarakhand, the case of statues erection in Uttar Pradesh or the loss in electricity department in Gujarat. The CAG in its report has also raised fingers on these aspects too.

The Congress said there is "no whisper of an insinuation" against the Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit in the CAG report on CWG-related projects and the PMO has "no role" in the appointment of Suresh Kalmadi as chairman of the Organizing Committee.”

“We are ready for any debate in the House and we are not running away from it, but if the NDA leaders are taking the CAG report as the last word from God then they must also raise their voice against the governments in their states of Gujarat and Uttarakhand too where financial bungling have come into notice in the report of CAG,” said Manish Tewari.

Arvinder Singh love Lovely ,Delhi Transport Minister said, “We have completely studied the CAG report, which has neither indicted Delhi’s Chief Minister Sheila nor any of the functionaries of the state government instead it has praised the state government for infrastructure and developmental works in the state. But the opposition in the state and union are unnecessarily politicizing the report”.

However, the NDA leaders remained adamant in their stand and said there was no question of going even a step back on the issue of corruption. We will keep our protest going in the House and on the streets as well till Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit is not removed.

Senior BJP leader Navjot Singh Siddhu also said the time has come for Sheila Dixit to go. This CWG has brought a bad name to the entire country. This happens to be the mother of all scams, and our party cannot allow any such person to hold the office who is supposed to be heading the government responsible for all these financial irregularities.
