Photography originated from the invention of box camera by the Daguerreotype, a photographic processes developed by Joseph Nicèphore Nièpce and Louis Daguerre in 1830s. These inventions were given as free gifts to the world.
On the occasion of WPD in Jaipur, a few photo-exhibitions have been organised at the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) and a private place. At JKK, the works of hobbyists of the city, Yashvant Kumar and Narayani Gupta, are at display.
At a local mall, a charity wall of the photographs by professionals has been put up for sale for the social cause of education of differently-abled children.
