Jacqueline Fernandez will star opposite Salman Khan in Kick 2, confirms producer Sajid Nadiadwala
Kick 2 will star Jacqueline Fernandez opposite Salman Khan as revealed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Rubbing all the rumours and confirming that Jacqueline would recreate the same magic in the sequence, Sajid Nadiadwala said that the script is being written keeping her in mind.

In an interview with DNA Sajid said, "Once I finish penning the script, I'll be completely sure. But at present, she's there in what I'm writing. But it's too early to talk about it."

"We had already decided that there would be a sequel. I've been writing it for a year now. As I had a lot of other things on my plate, it was taking time. I'll restart the writing process. We should be ready to roll the movie next year after Salman finishes all his current films. Kick 2 will release on Christmas 2019," he added further.

There were speculations that Jacqueline has been replaced by Amy Jackson in the sequel. Elaborating how rumours of the Sri Lankan not being part of the film started doing the rounds, Sajid said, "At an event, Salman was handing over the Best Director Award to me and he had said in jest, 'Kick 2 is ready now, and Jacqueline, you are not there!' He just joked and news spread that Jackie would be replaced in the film."

Though it was said in a banter mode, it was reported by media in a different way that Jacqueline was being replaced. Nadiadwala, however, confirmed that once he finishes writing the script he will "be completely sure" and it is too early to decide on these developments, as told by the producer.

Kick which released way back in 2014 was a box office hit.
