The panel of doctors from Osmania General Hospital said, “We require consent from the jail authorities to take these stringent steps. For any other patient, we would willingly do it with the consent of the relatives, but this is different,” reported Deccan Chronical.
The doctors also believe that, if the family members of Jagan are allowed to meet him, then it would be easy to convince him for the treatment.
But the police are very strictly monitoring the ward, where Mr. Jagan is admitted, only the resident medical officer and designated committee members are allowed to enter the ward.
However, YSRC party honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi (mother of Jagan Mohan Reddy) has appealed Mr. Jagan to end his indefinite fast. Meanwhile, she has also filed a petition with the CBI court for special cases, Nampally, and asked for a permission, for the family members to attend to Jagan.
This indefinite fast of Jagan has made the patients of Osmania General hospital to suffer, as the main gates of the hospital were blocked by the police. The out-patients had to explain about their disease symptoms to the police, before they were allowed to enter.
Every day the outpatient department of OGH gets over 2,000 patients, but due to this problem, it came down to only 500 patients on Friday.
