Jaganmohan Reddy likely to land up in CBI net
YSR Congress Chief and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy may soon land up in the CBI net due to his alleged links with the mining baron Janardhan Reddy. The move is likely to come after the monsoon session of the parliament concludes in New Delhi.

SOON AFTER mining baron Janardhana Reddy was arrested by the CBI; the Damocles sword now hangs over YSR Congress party Chief Jaganmohan Reddy. Jagan Reddy and Janardhan Reddy have now come under the CBI net, which is investigating the financial links between the two. It was under the leadership of YS Rajasekhara Reddy the Gali brothers got permission for mining operations in the state.

Authorities within the CBI have reportedly told a leading Indian newspaper that the investigations were being carried out under the orders of the Andhra Pradesh High Court and questioning the Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy is a part of the High Court’s ruling. The CBI in its probe will also dig out the links between the Gali brothers and Jagan.

However, Jaganmohan has been trying to evade arrest by shifting to Delhi to attend the parliamentary sessions. In Delhi, he was seen lobbying with numerous political parties against the CBI’s ‘witch hunt’. In Delhi, denying his links with the Reddy brothers, he was quoted saying by the same newspaper that his father had campaigned against the Bellary brothers. When asked about the possibility of his arrest, he said that if so happens, let that injustice be also be seen by God. God will teach them a lesson. The CBI too now has to wait till September 8, till the Monsoon session of the parliament concludes. After the session, the CBI will not have to get the permission of the Lok Sabha speaker and can also avert the possibility of the MP’s going on a rampage in the lower house.
