The specialty of the Sindhu fair at Dussera Ground in Adarsh Nagar of Jaipur was the exhibition of Sindhi culture and tradition. In the evening, at the fair Shindhi dances were performed and the achievers of the community were honoured.

In the fair organised by the Mahanagar Cheti Chant Mela Samiti, the famous Chhej dance were the most appreciated and enjoyed cultural event.

Chhej dance is the most popular dance form among Sindhis which literally means Crescendo or dance of joy of victory. It resembles a lot with Gujarati Dandia Raas.

In Chhej, a circle is formed by the performers called Chhejris who dance with dandis or sticks in their hands. They dance in circle, providing their own taal by clapping sticks to each other's sticks with the rhythm of a drum and tune of Shahnai.

In this dance more than seven dancers perform who form various patternsduring the dance. The dance begins with slow beats and gradually, rhythm becomes faster and faster and generates more and more joy.
