Jaipur starts preparing for upcoming International Kite Festival
Supported by Rajasthan Tourism Department, the International Kite Festival in Jaipur (IKF-Jaipur) will be celebrated from January 14 to 16, 2018.

Over the years, IKF-Jaipur has become one of the most-attended colourful festivals in Rajasthan.

This festival will begin on 14th of January - the day of Makar Sankranti - for which the entries are being received from kite fliers from different countries and corners of India. The thrill and excitement lingers in the air and everyone is enchanted. Join the joyous mood of Jaipur and celebrate the pleasure of flying kites.

The kite flyers will gather in different stadiums, grounds and City Palace's royal premises. IKF-Jaipur has grown into a magnificent event and it experiences a reasonably large participation. The festival has been divided into two sections, one is the Kite Fighting and the other is the Friendly Kite Flying Session in which huge kites of different shapes and colours are flown.

According to Tourism Beat, during Makar Sankranti festival, special delicacies of Rajasthan can be enjoyed in the company of friends and family members along with kite flying. On a larger scale, special events are organized by tourism department in open grounds and the City Palace for the tourists and international kite flyers.

It is said that various colourful cultural programmes like Rajasthani Dance performances, musical band, fun fairs and decorated kites exhibitions enrich the whole IKF experience in Jaipur.
