Jaipur to celebrate World Wildlife Week in a big way this time
The Rajasthan State Forest Department and Jaipur Zoo have decided to jointly organise celebration of Wild Life Week in a big way starting from first October by targeting children with week-long activities.

The main attraction will be the daily puppet show giving messages for wild life protection and conservation. The main purpose is to make children visit Nahargarh Biological Park which has been opened recently to the public.

The activities for children will be like walk for conservation, quiz competition, bird watching, birds identification, animal tribute programme, essay competition, declamation contest, collage making and on-spot painting competition on different days. Various schools have been urged to participate.

Besides the contests and puppet shows, there will be image identification shows and short play at Ravindar Manch and Jaipur Zoo.

Raksha being an animal welfare organisation took a similar initiative to promote wildlife conservation through various modes of communication.

Other animal welfare organisations including Raksha will be organising community and school-based activities on wild life and animal conservation.

Every year, from October 1 to 7, governments, environmentalists, activists, educators organize different activities to accelerate the awareness of wildlife conservation among people.
