Jaipur to host training of trainers on 'Finding the Leader in You'
A short training of trainers (ToT) on "Finding the Leader in You" (FLY) is going to be held in Jaipur called "Finding the Leader in You" (FLY) to enhance the global competitive leadership mindset among students pursuing professional courses.

The training courseware has been developed by IIT, Gandhi Nagar and is transacted by key trainers and experts for prospective trainers for lager dissemination.

"India is a nation of smart people- so why are we lagging behind in global competitiveness? Infrastructure, capital investment, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and skills training are important for competitiveness, but our analysis shows that competitive mindset is equally important," says the FLY programme document for the training that will commence on January 15 in the city. 

The training is based on the needs analyzed on the basis of a survey on 'Competitiveness Mindset in India', which revealed that the Indians give up their advantages to other countries because lack of their competitive leadership. 

Keeping in view the low rank of Indians the above five attributes – conscientiousness, perseverance, innovativeness, taking initiative, problem solving skills -  the designing the FLY training program has been done, informs the document shared by the key trainer IITian Amrish Garg. 

It has been informed that training programme has been designed by an expert team of educationalists, entrepreneurs, and social scientists in India and in the US with extensive Indian experience, have designed and developed the FLY program to build and enhance these five attributes among students which are non-cognitive skills 

The training program that makes use of active learning techniques includes minimum theory or lecture but provides opportunities to practice various techniques in the sessions. The FLY training includes five sessions of two hours each for each of the pillar, while another hour is set aside for setting norms for conducting team and group exercises sprinkled throughout the sessions.
