Jaipurites mourned the death of yesteryear acting legend and original superstar of Hindi Cinema Rajesh Khanna on Wednesday. People in Jaipur had been praying for his health earlier when he was admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai due to kidney failure and later brought back to his residence Aashirwad.
IN JAIPUR, people still recall Rajesh Khanna's screen magic and women swooning at him. Jaipur too had its share of female fans writing letters with blood and keeping his picture under their pillows.
While mourning the death of actor Rajesh Khanna, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the film industry has lost a great actor who played important roles in the entertainment field and he was a person who had a great image as a public representative too.
Rajesh Khanna performed in 163 fims after making his debut in 1966 with the film titled Aakhri Khat and rose to become a heart throb of millions of female fans.
Rajesh Khanna had also set a record of a fifteen consecutive hit fims - a record that has not been broken yet. All these films have become classics of Indian cinema.
Rajesh is gone, memories will live and haunt. He breathed his last in the presence of his close family members. His ex-wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Rinkie and Twinkle, son-in-law Akshay Kumar, grand children and other close relatives were by his bedside in his last moments.
