Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation is holding a significant peace conference in Jammu on the eve of Republic Day in which participants from various walks of life are participating.

A MOTLEY group of peace activists, intelligentsia, scholars, ministers, legislators and religious scholars from different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir state is participating in a peace conference, to be held on the eve of Republic Day in Jammu on 28th January.

Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation, in a major development, is holding the 39^th peace conference at Abhinav theatre, Jammu, in which governor of the state, NN Vohra would be the chief guest.
Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Chief Patron, Jammu& Kashmir Peace Foundation, told Merinews: “The JKPF is organizing this event annually on the eve of Republic Day and we hope this year to be an special event with presence of august gathering. We as an organization are striving hard to envisage a peaceful region via peaceful resolution of issues.”
The step assumed significance because of the diverse opinions that would come from the diverse participants.
