Six political parties were not called for the meeting and these parties represent the aspirations and view points of Jammu and have been deliberately kept aside. These parties have now decided to boycott the delegation.
THE JAMMU and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) along with the state units of BJP and SP have decided to boycott the union delegation from New Delhi, who are in Jammu and Kashmir to have a closer look at the situation there.
The delegation that comprises of 36 members arrived in Jammu from Srinagar and will meet representatives of political parties, social, religious, trade and other associations.Upon the arrival of the delegates, BJP said that it will boycott the all party meeting as a mark of protest as the visiting team did not call on nationalist parties so that they could present their views on Jammu and Kashmir.
As per BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram, sixteen political parties were not called for the meeting and said that these parties represent the aspirations and view points of Jammu and have been deliberately kept aside. Some of the parties which have not been invited includes VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and Panun Kashmir.On the move, JKNPP Chairman Bhim Singh told reporters that his party has decided to boycott meeting the all-party delegation for the reason that there are no terms and conditions attached nor such a delegation has any constitutional authority to take cognisance of the facts and the security situation which today prevails in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the Kashmir Valley.
