JD(U) is an ally to NDA not to corruption says Sharad Yadav
Uttar Pradesh state president of the Janta Dal (U), Suresh Niranjan 'Bhaiyyaji,' has said his party would field honest and clean candidates in the upcoming UP polls in 2012. He agrees to views of the party's national president in this regard.
JANTA DAL United (JD-U) is an ally to the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and not an ally in corruption, said JDU national president Sharad Yadav. He was expressing his views on the arrest of Reddy brothers by the Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) for alleged illegal mining in the state of Karnataka. Sharad Yadav made it very clear that his party was against any form of corruption and nobody would be spared if found involved in corrupt practices.
He applauded the work that has been taken up by the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar where the state government has taken the corrupt ‘babus’ to task. Sharad Yadav said his party has always advocated for clean and efficient administration and steps have been taken by the party at various levels, not only just in the state of Bihar where the party has been implementing many policies for the poor and downtrodden, to eradicate corruption. Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar himself, has been supervising many departments and has been looking into the complaints personally wherever he gets complaints regarding corruption or work being delayed by the officials and takes appropriate action too.
Sharad Yadav said we need to remove corruption from every field and for that we have to be more transparent and have to fix time limit for disposal of cases and files. We need to come out from the trap of ‘red tapizm’ and adopt a model where growth can be done at a faster pace. The introduction of e-models where computers are in use, in several departments have helped the government and people too in making smooth transactions and have helped in reducing the corruption
Janta Dal United leader and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has also said in clear words that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost. Nitish Kumar has also extended his invitation to Santosh Hegde to become the ‘Lok Ayukta’ (Ombudsman) of Bihar. The Bihar government is committed to eradicate corruption from all levels, said Nitish Kumar.
JD-U Uttar Pradesh state president Suresh Niranjan ‘Bhaiyyaji’ has also endorse the views of Sharad Yadav and Nitish Kumar over corruption and said that his party was committed to eradicate corruption at all levels. “There must be greater transparency in the works of bureaucrats and government clerks where the common man of this nation interacts and deals. The presence of corruption is too much at the lower level; be it the block level, the tehsil level or in police department at the ‘thana’ level, one cannot register an F.I.R without greasing the palms of police men posted in the said ‘thana’ and even small farmers are harassed by the ‘Mandi Parishad’ officials, so that has become the level of corruption which is very alarming and we have to think about it seriously before it gets too late,” said Suresh Niranjan ‘Bhaiyyaji.’
“We are also making an appeal to the people of Uttar Pradesh to elect honest candidates at least in the upcoming polls in the state in 2012, only then we will be able to fight effectively against the menace of corruption,” said Suresh Niranjan ‘Bhaiyyaji.
