POLICE HAVE surrounded the office building in Jefferson City after reports of a possible hostage situation which had risen in the Jefferson City, Missourisince 10am in the morning.
Police are all around the office building across the governor’s mansion after reports that a hostage situation was unfolding.The Jefferson City police are trying to take control over the crisis and have secured and surrounded the building with choppers roaming over the building at 200 Madison Street.
.Mike Smith, Police Capt said that the authorities had received a call at around 10am Tuesday from an alarm company. The call was from a woman who said that there was a possibility of a hostage situation on the fifth floor of the building.Police have not yet confirmed any hostages have been taken and are not sure whether it was a prank call. But they are taking it seriously and are blocking the traffic in the area. Also officers with guns have been positioned around the building.Police are slowly evacuating the building and have instructed the employees to remain in their offices with doors locked. However the Governor does not not work in this building.
