JENSON BUTTON, the McLaren driver was in a league of his won as he won the Hungarian Grand Prix. It was his 11th victory during his Formula 1 career. It was also the 200th race of his career.
With this victory, Jenson Button has said that the race for the Driver’s championship is not over. He wants to get in as close to Sebastian Vettel - as far as the driver’s championship is concerned. Button finished the race with a timing of 1:46:42.337 and Vettel came in second just 3.6 sec behind the leader of the race. Fernando Alonso, who drives for Ferrari was third in the podium.
It was a historical race at Hungary; as it is very rare that a driver in the 14th position in the grid goes on to win the race in such tough conditions. Button was superb during the entire race and won accolades from the crowd for his fantastic victory. The wet conditions in Hungary did not deter the driver in losing focus until he saw the chequered flag.
In the constructor’s championship RBR-Renault is ahead of the pack, with 383 points and McLaren has reached to 280 points with their victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix. McLaren is eager to finish the season on a high by winning as many races as they could and inch closer to the leader in the pack, RBR-Renault.
