Accompanied by entourage of a dozen people, she went on shopping spree in Colaba markets, shopping for chappals on Linking Road, sampling the Paani Puri at Elco market, picked up an expensive choker necklace and ring set at a jewellery showroom, bought a sari from a Juhu boutique, etc. Simpson also visited a hospital in Airoli to meet a girl whom she sponsored for cleft operation, according to reports.
Seeing her interest in India’s culture, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has urged Simpson to further explore the rich philosophical thought of Hinduism. Zed, who is the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, also suggested Simpson to visit a nearby Hindu temple and have a first hand experience of Hinduism. If Simpson needed any assistance in her study of Hinduism, he or other Hindu scholars would be glad to share their knowledge or arrange the appropriate expertise, Zed added.
