Jharkhand college authorities expel a tribal lecturer over FB 'beef party' comment
A tribal lecturer from the Graduate School College for Women in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand has been expelled over the 'beef party' comment that he posted on Facebook in May, according to Times of India.

In his FB post, the expelled teacher, Jeetrai Hansda had expressed his wish to organise a beef party for his friends. After posting such a comment on Facebook, Handa was served a showcause notice by the college authorities who were not satisfied with his reply over the notice.

Later, the college management decided not to extend his contract, which ended on Thursday.

As per the report, Hansda had posted his comment on Facebook saying that he wanted to host a beef party for his friends but soon after, the state government announced a ban on cow lynching.

Taking serious note of his comment, BJP's youth wing ABVP along with other organisations has demanded the college authorities to immediately remove Hansda from his post.
