It is about Jharkhand government withdrawing all stately facilities to former Chief Ministers within three months after their demitting office. Presently, politicians are misusing this facility.
IT REFERS to news about Jharkhand government withdrawing all stately facilities to former Chief Ministers within three months after their demitting office. Presently, political rulers (Chief Ministers) in many states like Bihar and UP have gifted themselves with kingsize post-retirement facilities at government-expenses after their demitting office.
UP Chief Minister Mayawati is even said to have been spending crores of rupees on a bungalow, it appears she intends to live as a state Chief Minister even after her retirement. Evidently even opposition does not object to such unjustified spending because its own leaders are enjoying such stately facilities.Even at the centre, stopgap Prime Ministers like I K Gujral and H D Devegowda are gifted with similar undue facilities. Rule should be to withdraw all post-retirement facilities to Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers, who act like white-elephants for the public-exchequers.
