Jimmy Choo make way for Christian Louboutin
The French shoemaker is quite new to the trade and he already has an A list clientele. He, on his own terms, is bringing in a revolution in the footwear market.
THE FAIRYTALE of Cinderella not only teaches us about true love but also about how important it is to have the right kind of shoes. Well! Jokes apart, footwear is an important part of the look a person wants to carry off these days. Western people have got that right and now we can see celebrities sporting the weirdest and the craziest kind of footwear possible.

Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik (made so famous by Jessica Parker) and Prada have become passé and now it is Christian Louboutin, who is the lord of every photo-shoot, red carpet walk or elite birthday bash.

Another new trend noticed is that the crazier the design, the more sought after is the Christian Louboutins. The shoe designer who started off as late as 1991 has a long list of celebrities, which includes Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Lady Gaga to name a few. The 47-year-old is famous for his creativity and different styles of shoes.

During prince William and Kate’s wedding one could see that almost all the people present were wearing a Christian Louboutin in different textures, colours and shapes. He specializes in stilettos and the most defining of his stilletoes, which is very high in the celebrity circuit, is high sky heels with red soles.

In a latest auction a ballet shoe was sold off, which was as high as 8 inches and it has the shape of a shoe, which resembled a person standing on her toes and walking, almost like doing a ballet number. The shoes looks crazy and dangerous, yet since it was designed for a fundraiser for the English National Ballet (ENB) hence there was some semblance behind the creation.

However, like everything else, the global footwear market is also going through a revolution of a sort and none of the celebrities are seen without heels. Very soon the common masses would follow taking flats totally out of the equation. Lady Gaga, who has a huge fan following globally is known for her hip dressing style, always sports sky high wedges with her dresses. So much so that she has even fallen off them, has been ordered by security in airports to have them checked but to no avail as she continues to sport wedges as high as 8 inches or more on various social events.

Other actresses are not that flamboyant but they do like to showcase a studded Christian Louboutin in parties and be Cinderella of her own world.
