J&K beef ban issue: APHCC supports JKNPP's Jammu Bandh call
Extending his support to Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party's (JKNPP) Jammu Bandh Call, All Party Hindu Coordination Committee (APHCC) member, Rajiv Mahajan has appealed to all social and political parties to join the struggle launched by Panthers for expressing their anguish over the cow slaughtering in the State.

In a statement issued today, Rajiv Mahajan has demanded action against Independent MLA, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, saying that the legislator posed a threat to the communal harmony in the State.

Mahajan said that Rashid's act of organizing beef party at the MLA Hostel in Srinagar was condemnable. He said that the beef party was a direct attack on the religious sentiments of Hindu community.

"Any person indulging in such practice should be booked and put behind the bars", he said, adding that police should take cognizance of the matter and register a case against the Langate MLA.

Kranti Dal's President Pritam Sharma stressed upon the need of pressurizing Jammu based ministers and both Central and State Governments so that they do not undermine the strength of Jammu region and stop such anti-national act in the state.

"This is high time for BJP in State to restore confidence in Jammu region by immediately taking action against MLA Rashid otherwise they will have to face the wrath of Jammu's people", Shiv Sena Hindustan state chief, Rajesh Kesari said.

Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena member, Vikas Devan regretted that despite an offence of grave and heinous nature having been committed in full public view, in the government premises, the BJP-PDP coalition has failed to take due cognizance and remained a mute spectator.

Freedom Fighter Association President, Ved Gandotra also condemned such sacrilegious act in the state.
