J&K Freedom Fighters Association pays tributes to Maha Vir Chakra awardee Hav Saroop Singh
Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) on Friday paid rich tributes to Hav Saroop Singh, Maha Vir Chakra awardee, who laid his life during Indo-China War in 1962.
The function organised by Ved Gandotra, President JKFFA, was held at Dogra Shaurya Stamb, Amphalla. Shri Ram Sena state president, Rajiv Mahajan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and S Davinder Singh and S Amrik Singh, sons of Shaheed Saroop Singh as Guests of Honour.

They said that Hav Saroop Singh, while fighting single handedly with all other soldiers at his post succumbed to the enemies, fought to the last drop of his blood and his body was found girdled with the bullets.

The association during this meeting also remembered Ashfaq Ullah Khan a close associate of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

The members paid floral tributes to the legend souls and garlanded their photographs.

The members on this occasion also remembered Netaji Bose, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev and Chandra Shekhar Azad besides Com. Dhanwantri, Rani Laxmi Bhai and also those martyrs who scarified their lives for the nation.

The prominent persons present were Gajan Singh, Rajesh Kesari, Varun Sharma, Suraj Parkash, Binny Mahajan, R.R. Raina, Sanjeev Kumar and Parbhat Kapahi.
