J&K Freedom Fighters Association, SRS pay homage to martyrs
To remember the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev, J&K Freedom Fighters Association and Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir jointly organised a function at Dogra Shaurya Stamb, Ambphalla under the chairmanship of the Association president Ved Gandotra.
Soujanya Sharma (Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The participants paid Floral Tributes to the Martyrs and recalled their sacrifices; showered flowers on their photographs and lit candles in their honour.

People from different walks of life and the members of the association participated and threw light over the life history of the Martyrs. They also remembered Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Chander Sekhar Azad, Ashfaq-Ulla-Khan, Abdul Majid, Maharani Luxmi Bai, Mangal Pandey and all other known and unknown freedom fighters, who opened the gates of freedom for the country-men by their dedication and sacrifices.

The speakers emphasized the need to follow the path of sacrifice, dedication and patriotism as shown by the Martyrs as the course is still relevant in today's India, where corruption, nepotism was running in the veins of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.

They said the youth of Modern India should pledge that they would follow the path shown by the Martyrs and freedom fighters and would work hard with honesty to make India a land of dreams of the freedom-fighters.

Prominent who spoke on the occasion were Parbhat Kapahi, Tej Ram Dogra, Vinod Tak, Rajiv Mahajan, Harinder Singh, Bajan Singh, Charanjit Singh, Capt. Purshom, Omparkash Verma and others.
