An attempt to break through the political impasse in state is being made by both the parties and it is likely that a government lead by BJP will be formed with the support of JMM and AJSU.
Now, the BJP legislature party will elect a new leader after which the party will seek an appointment from the Governor to stake claim.BJP and JMM were at loggerheads following cross voting by JMM chief Shibu Soren in Lok Sabha during cut motions in the Budget session in April initiated by BJP and Left parties. The feud went on for three months.
As the news broke out, BJP spokesman Sanjay Seth and legislature party leader Raghuvar Das quit their respective posts as they were not happy with the proposed move. They apprehend that former Chief Minister Arjun Munda is likely to head the newly formed alliance. JMM spokesperson, Suprio Bhattacharya said that JMM has extended unconditional support to BJP’s initiatives to form a government. Meanwhile, Shibu Soren's son and party leader Hemant Soren said the party was open to support like minded people with a broader perspective for developmental activities.
