John Abraham launches the Yamaha Prototype Scooter in 11th Auto Expo
At the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd CEO & MD, Hiroyuki Suzuki said that the Yamaha has always been a committed player in the two-wheeler market while its brand ambassador, John Abraham launched the Yamaha Prototype Scooter.

ON THE first day of India’s biggest automobile exhibition, 11th Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, Yamaha had a marvellous start as Bollywood actor and India Yamaha Motor’s brand ambassador, John Abraham posed with Yamaha representatives including CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd, Hiroyuki Suzuki to launch the Yamaha prototype Scooter.


John Abraham, who is being a passionate biker himself represents the spirit of true biking, is Yamaha’s brand image in India. At the 11th Auto Expo on Tuesday, January 5, John launched the Yamaha Prototype Scooter in Hall number 18, where Yamaha displays its prime collection.


In the event, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd CEO & MD, Hiroyuki Suzuki said: “Yamaha has always been a committed player in the two-wheeler market. He also added the Indian scooter segment is growing tremendously and they have developed a scooter prototype that has the Yamaha DNA and signifies “Cool and Beauty” image, which are the right words for describing young Indian girls.” He also announced plans to invest Rs. 800 crores in India in 2012-13 on capacity expansion, new product development and network expansion.


In the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, Yamaha booth divided into two parts – Men and Women’s section, the concept of Yamaha booth is based on “Yamaha Global DNA”, and the message is “Excitement Extended”.


During the event, Yamaha is displaying the MotoGP special YZR M1, 50th Anniversary Special along with the YZF – R1 50th Anniversary Special. Company has also displayed the recently launched YZF R15 Version 2.0, the FZ1, legendary VMAX and FZ-S, Fazer, the SZ Series, YBR 125 and Crux in the Men’s section. In the Women’s section, Yamaha has displayed the ASEAN scooters and the Scooter Prototype model including MIO, FINO and the XEON.
