Film Jhootha Hi Sahi is the story of Siddharth or Sid (John) and Mishka (Paaki). Siddharth runs an Indian bookshop named 'Kagaz Ke Phool' in London. One night he gets a call from Mishka, broken after a bad relationship, who keeps him up the whole night with her threatened suicide. What happens later, it can be known after watch the film.

Film Jhootha Hi Sahi has been filmed by the maker of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Abbas Tyrewala under the banner of Sa Re Ga Ma. Pakhi, the female lead character of this film is the wife of Abbas Tyrewala. John Abraham is seen in two looks in the film, one of a simpleton and another of a self-confident man, who has everything under his control.

The music of the film was composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics given by Abbas Tyrewala. Rahman composed eight tracks for the film. Earlier, Jhootha Hi Sahi was slated to release on October 15. R Madhavan is also in the film, who plays the role of Mishka's ex-lover, Kabir. This film is produced by Madhu Mantena.
