Journey of Narahari - An aspiring engineer
Narahari Chichuan, who was recently provided funds for his further education, shows how to never lose hope and be determined to achieve your goals.
NARAHARI CHICHUAN, a resident of Khambesi village in Rayagada district of Orissa, gave a pleasing smile after he realised that Vedanta Aluminium Limited, Lanjigarh would give financial assistance for his engineering studies. This help was very essential for Narahari, as for him, being born in one of the poorest districts was not the only unfortunate reason to blame his luck, many such adverse circumstances were there that deterred him in fulfilling his dreams. Narahari once dreamt of becoming an engineer, had a vision to work in his own region for its development, finally, now can continue studies in pursuit of his dreams.

Narahari took admission in diploma course in civil engineering at Maa Majhigauri Institute of Science and Technology, Rayagada. Sanjay Pattnaik, Vice-President, VAL, handed over Narahari the first installment of the financial assistance at VAL office, Lanjigarh towards his admission and accommodation expenses. “We will definitely help Narahari, this is just a beginning towards the accomplishment of his completing engineering. Also, this is VAL’s commitment towards uplifting and educating the needful people around Kalahandi and Rayagada region. Like Narahari, we have provided financial support to many such needy students to pursue their education,” said Pattnaik.

Narahari, a bright student throughout his educational career, expressed happiness after receiving the help. “I was not sure of completing my engineering studies. I can now turn my dreams into reality,” said a joyous Narahari.

The joy on Narahari’s face was evident as few years earlier his dream of becoming an engineer dealt a denting blow when he lost his father at a tender age. However, he didn’t lose heart and continued to study hard at school and later at college. Finding it hard to arrange money, he then had discontinued his studies. Now, with this indispensable support, Narahari can resume not only his studies also can see his dreams materialise.
