TORONTO,CANADA - GAO Embedded  is offering its JTAG emulator designed for ARM cores. This plug-and-play emulator monitors all JTAG signals, measures target voltage and supports adaptive clocking and multiple devices. It connects via USB to a PC running under Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Windows Vista. The emulator has a built-in 20-pin JTAG which is compatible with the standard 20-pin connector defined by ARM.

GAO Embedded’s J-link ARM Emulator features automatic core recognition and auto speed recognition and supports any ARM7 or ARM9 core.It provides a standard high-speed USB 2.0 interface: maximum JTAG speed is 12MHz, download speed is up to 720Kb/s, and DCC speed is up to 800kbps.The target voltage ranges from 1.2V to 3.3V. This unit offers a Flash DLL which allows for flash functionality in custom applications; a RDI DLL is also available which allows for the use of J-link with RDI compliant software. The emulator and debugger can also be seamlessly integrated into the IAR Embedded Workbench® IDE.
