Judicial enquiry has been ordered by Samajwadi government led by Akhilesh Yadav for recent Muzaffarnagar riots. But such judicial-panels set by political rulers usually give their reports according to political requirements.
Political rulers having constituted such judicial-panels like was evident in infamous post-Godhra riots in Gujarat when two separate judicial panels appointed each by Gujarat government and Union Railway Minister gave their contrast findings according to political rulers having appointed them. It is time that a National Judicial Commission may be constituted which may be assigned task of appointing former or retired judges in any such judicial-panels appointed by Union or state-governments.
Communal riots, lawlessness and other administrative-malpractices have risen alarmingly high under present Akhilesh Yadav government in UP for which apart from Opposition Parties, even his own ministers have been critical. Situation is UP demands imposition of President’s rule in the state. It is ridiculous that a faulty trend has been established in Indian politics where only family-members of founders of regional political parties can become party-president or Chief Minister.
Does Samajwadi Party not have any capable administrator other than those from family of Mulayam Singh Yadav to be appointed as Chief Minister to provide better governance in country’s biggest state? People who have voted SP to power expecting the young Akhilesh to bring in modern reforms and change the face of the State are now feeling dejected with the same old story repeating in their neighbourhood.
