Justice for SP Mukul Dwivedi
#JusticeForMukul: Brother of Mathura SP Mukul Dwivedi demands justice for his slain brother
Brother of slain Mathura SP Mukul Dwivedi, Prafull Dwivedi has launched a Facebook page "Justice for Mukul", asking people to unite and fight for his brother who was "wrongly" killed during an eviction drive to clear an illegally occupied park in Mathura on June 2.

The Facebook page which was launched recently, already has 6,400 plus likes.

The posts on the page are mainly related to how the brave officer Mukul Dwivedi was lynched to death and how the authorities including senior police officials shoddily handled the entire eviction drive. The posts have been shared hundreds of time on the page.

A dejected Prafull had told ToI that even after so many days of the incident, nothing had emerged out of the inquiry. He said, "There is no action", so he had launched the Facebook page to draw attention of the authorities and express what the family was feeling, but in a civilized manner.

Prafull was also regretful of the fact that even after days of killings of the officers, there had not been a word of condolence from either the Prime Minister or his office. Prafull had even tweeted to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6 to express his disappointment.

He lamented that no action had been taken so far against the security personnel accompanying Mathura SP Mukul Dwivedi on the fateful day, those who had fled the scene, abandoning his brother in distress, and leaving him helpless in front of a violent mob.

Prafull said that he was not interested in knowing the details about Jawahar Bagh's illegal occupation or about it's illegitimate occupants, but just wanted to know how his brother got killed despite being escorted by other policemen. He said, "I want the truth of my brother's brutal death to come out."
