Delhi government should devise a mechanism to take auto-care cognisance of need to raise fares of auto-rickshaws whenever there is a price-rise for CNG.

DELHI GOVERNMENT should devise a mechanism to take automatic cognisance of need to raise fares of auto-rickshaws whenever there is a price-rise for CNG. It is unfair that any decision to increase fares is taken only after unrest amongst auto-drivers is exhibited through strikes and agitations. Fare-revision should be affected instantly within 24 hours of increase in CNG-prices.

Delayed decision on part of Delhi government gives rise for auto-violation of auto-fares by auto-drivers because it is practically impossible for daily-earners to suffer loss due to indecision on part of Delhi government resulting in unnecessary arguments between passengers and auto-drivers on alleged over-charging of fares.
