K R Mangalam School of Engineering and Technology
K R Mangalam Group introduces School of Engineering and Technology at Greater Kailash I, New Delhi. It offers engineering programmes by SAPET (an educational trust) in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
TODAY, INDIA is considered an upwardly mobile nation. Its immense potentiality for growth is admired by all and sundry. Among the Asian nations, it is seen as a fast developing political power. But, there is still a need to produce highly professional and competent engineers, most of the experts feel. This can be done only by imparting quality knowledge to students. Many institutes-both Government and private-have been established keeping this objective in mind.
One of such institutes,“School of Engineering and Technology” has been established by K R Mangalam Group at Greater Kailash I, New Delhi. The Engineering programme is being offered here by SAPET (an educational trust) in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). This joint venture has been taken up by SAPET and IGNOU with a view to creating and developing innovative and cost effective programmes in different areas of Engineering and Technology at a number of levels. At present, programmes are being offered in the following areas:
1) Computer Science and Engineering;
Eligibility Criterion: Those students who are desirous of doing B.Tech Degree programme would have to complete 4 years of curriculum after 10+2 course. There is a provision of lateral entry also. For lateral entry, students must have any one of the following qualification:
(1) Three-year Diploma in any branch of Engineering
(2) B.Sc. (PCM) (3) Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
(4) Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent (BCS)
Admission Procedure: Admission to the IGNOU-SAPET Engineering programmes is made through an aptitude test called IGNOU Engineering Aptitude Test (IGNEAT 2009) to be held between September 6 and 13, 2009 at the designated centres.
Application For IGNEAT 2009 : The application for the test can be had from August 3, 2009. The last date of submission of application is August 24, 2009. The result of the aptitude test will be announced on September 21, 2009. Counselling for admission and admission will take place in the 2nd week of October 2009.
Handbook And Prospectus: Handbook and Prospectus for IGNOUSAPET Engineering Programmes 2009 can be obtained from School of Engineering and Technology, Indira Gandhi Open University, Maidangarhi, New Delhi by paying Rs 500/- in cash or by sending a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Indira Gandhi National Open University payable at New Delhi. Handbook and Prospectus would be available at K R Mangalam School of Engineering and Technology, N-Block, Greater Kailash-1 (Near South Delhi Club, New Delhi-110048 also.

2) Electrical and Electronics Engineering;
3) Electronics and Communication Engineering While the Engineering Programme structure shall be prescribed by IGNOU, K R Mangalam School of Engineering and Technology is looking after the infrastructure needed for such a specialized area of study. The Group has set up excellent laboratories to meet the requirements of the curriculum, under the guidance of experts in the field. The institute has highly experienced and qualified faculty. Evaluation and certification will be done by IGNOU.
