Kailash Satyarthi's Nobel Prize replica and Peace Prize certificate stolen from his Delhi house
Social activist Kailash Satyarthi's Nobel Peace Prize certificate along with other valuables were stolen from his house in south Delhi's Alaknanda.

According to the Delhi Police, Satyarthi's staff discovered the theft on Tuesday morning. The police have also said that the thieves have also stolen his Nobel prize replica.

"It was a forced entry. We have not identified the intruder yet. Along with the original Nobel Peace Prize certificate, some jewellery and electronic goods have also been stolen. An FIR has been lodged at the Kalkaji police station," The Hindu quoted a police official.

Satyarthi is presently attending the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in America.

The police have registered an FIR under section 380 (house theft) of the IPC and have launched search operations to nab the suspects.

The police have detained all scrap dealers and local criminals from the area and to identify the accused, the police have recorded fingerprints from the spot.

Satyarthi, had won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 along with Pakistan's Malala Yousafzai.

Satyarthi is a children's rights and education activist and the founder of the Bachpan Bachao Andolan through which he has freed over 80,000 children from various forms of forced labour & trafficking and helped in rehabilitating them successfully.
