Kalraj Mishra denied space in BJP posters in Lucknow
The BJP posters in Lucknow, which have been put up at many places do not carry the picture Kalraj Mishra, who is the chief ministerial candidate of the party. It seems everything is not well in the state BJP unit due to friction in rank and file.
IT SEEMS all is not going well in the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) top leadership in Uttar Pradesh especially after the party decided to field Kalraj Mishra as the leader of the party for the upcoming assembly elections.

It appears that the decision has not pleased some of the veterans, who are keeping a distance from the chief ministerial candidate of the party Kalraj Mishra, and if one goes by the recent party posters that were put up in Lucknow at various places in connection with the visit of senior party leader and former UP chief minister Rajnath Singh, none have the face of Kalraj Mishra.

The BJP posters and banners at several places have become the talk of the town as they exhibit only Rajnath Singh and Lucknow MP Lalji Tandon minus party’s chief minister candidate Kalraj Mishra. Even the common man on the streets of Lucknow who has little sense of politics, and who knows even little about the BJP, has been asking the same question, why the senior party leaders have dumped Kalraj Mishra and why they have not given any space to this leader in their posters, who has been declared as candidate for the chief minister if the party wins the elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Though the leaders of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) have already constituted a committee to look after the electoral campaign for the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, and the party has made its chief ministerial candidate and senior leader Kalraj Mishra its convener. This was disclosed by the party’s national general secretary Narendra Singh Tomar at its state headquarters in Lucknow. The committee will have some 81 senior party leaders, who will campaign vigorously for the party, and will let their political experience to come and help the BJP in reaching to the corridors of power in the state.

Earlier, there was a time when veteran leaders such as Atal Behari Vajpayee and L K Advani were the poster boys of BJP but as they are now getting old and are no more in active politics, the second generation leaders have started appearing on these posters. But the strange thing to notice is that the new posters, which have started coming up in the city do not adorn the face of Kalraj Mishra.

Now whether it happened in sheer ignorance or if there's some kind of political conspiracy only time will tell but one thing is certain if Kalraj Mishra would not be given any space in party posters, it would be very difficult for him to lead his party to power because as it says out of sight out of mind. So if he will remain invisible from the electorate, the chances of BJP returning to power look quite grim.
