In Himachal Pradesh, the Deputy commissioner of Kangra C. Palrasu has asked officers to achieve targets fixed for the district under scheduled caste sub-plan before March 10, 2013 positively.
Palrasu was reviewing the progress under scheduled caste sub-plan here today. He disclosed that a sum of Rs. 36.70 crores were being spent under the sub-plan in the district and Rs. 18.50 crores have been spent up to December, 2012, and achieved 58 percent target.

He said that under the 20-points programme, 9601 BPL families were benefited against the target of 12114 up to december, 2012. He asked the officers to speed up the development works and maintain the qualities of works so that maximum BPL families could avail the benefits under the schemes, he added.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to prepare a work plan for the next financial year with priority to be given to local demands, so that the matter could be sent to the government for approval well in time for funds, he added.
