Kapil Sharma's candid confession about his fight with alcoholism at trailer launch of Firangi
Kapil Sharma has always had a contentious relationship with the media. The stand-up comedian has testified to different shades in his career which has been quite erratic in recent times.

Recently, during the trailer launch of his upcoming film Firangi, Kapil was quite outspoken about his problem of binge drinking which somehow also affected his career.

His very popular show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' came to a sudden halt recently due to reasons known-unknown.

As per reports, Kapil came out with the reasons at the trailer launch of Firangi and said, "I cancelled a lot of programmes; like recently I cancelled a programme for the BSF in Delhi. I really wanted to do a show for soldiers like this. When I started my show, I went to the Wagah border," the comedian told the media.

He also added "I got to realize that I drink everyday to escape my problems. So I have decided to reduce it."

Kapil also spoke about his mother and said that she was unaware of the sudden cancellation of his show and all the strife that was going on in his life.

He said, "My mother was not informed about the issue. She was told that there was a strike, due to which the shoot was cancelled. She's too innocent, but later on, she came to know about the whole incident," he said.

There was a lot of controversy regarding Kapil's spat with his co-star Sunil Grover; the scandalous mid-air brawl between the two had made headlines. Though Kapil is said to have picked the path for reconciliation but there isn't any confirmation of any amiable treaty between the two.

Kapil's upcoming film Firangi is a period drama set in the year 1920. Directed by Rajiv Dhingra, the film also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill. The film will hit box office on November 24, 2017.
