KARBONN MOBILES on Monday launched two new mobile phones K560 and K460 for the entry level customers looking for features rich multimedia phones. The latest entrant to the mobile phone market Karbonn is a joint venture between the Delhi based Jaina group and United Telelinks, a Bangalore based company.
The company, which launched two new handsets today said that it had planned to capture 7 to 10 per cent share of the multimedia phone segment in India. Karbonn Managing director Pradeep Jain told media persons that they are going to invest around 100 crore in the current fiscal to set up operations and push the sales.Karbonn had launched its first mobile phone six months back and has already invested around 20 crores in the mobile telephony business. It plans to launch 3 to 4 handsets every quarter in different segments and will focus on multimedia phones with dual sims and touch screens.
