Kashmiri terrorists now using Chinese grenades which just won't explode!
On Friday, an unidentified group of terrorists threw a grenade at Barari Pora Chowk in Srinagar, as reported by ANI.

However, that grenade did not explode. Well, the reason is that it was 'Made in China', a label which brings along a dubious reputation of being poor quality.

After the grenade which was hurled at a Central Reserve Police Force party failed to go off, the bomb disposal squad was summoned for diffusing it.

This is not the first case of a grenade used by Kashmiri militants not exploding. A day before this incident, terrorists had lobbed a grenade at a police station in Shopian which too turned out to be a dud. An FIR was also lodged in this regard.

On August 7 this year, during the Machhil encounter, the Indian Army had recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the encounter site which included Chinese and Pakistani grenades. Five militants had been killed in the encounter by the Indian Army while foiling a major attempt of infiltration.

In the meanwhile, very much on expected lines with Diwali just around the corner, although the grenade failed to go off, Twitter has been exploding with hilarious tweets taking a dig at the Pakistanis for using cheap quality grenades of Chinese make.

In December 2016, a news report had said that a Chinese man from Shaanxi province had been using a Chinese Type 67 defence hand grenade for cracking walnuts for almost quarter of a century, not knowing what it really was. The man claimed that he had been given the grenade by his friend in the early 1980s which he kept using for cracking walnuts for 25 years. When he later discovered that his nutcracker was actually a grenade, he surrendered it in a local police station. The man was let off by the authorities without being penalized.

After hearing this news, Samsung must be cursing the Chinese even more for supplying them faulty batteries for their Note 7 phones which made the devices explode. It seems China has got it all wrong, while their phone batteries which aren't supposed to explode, do; the grenades which are expected to explode, don't!
