Katrina Kaif honored by Assocham

Katrina Kaif was recognized as the 'Performer of the Year' by Assocham. The award was given to her by Swati Piramal, President Assocham at a ceremony at Imperial Hotel, Delhi on February 4, 2010. Delhi's who's who were in attendance.

KARTINA KAIF is popular enough to keep the press and who’s who of Delhi waiting for her appearance on the stage when Assocham Entertainment Committee decided to honor her at Hotel Imperial on February 4, 2010.

“A special award has been constituted -“Performer of The Year”- by Assocham to honour the most beautiful lady of the film industry” said D.S. Rawat, the Secretary General of Assocham. “We are proud that Kartina has been rated as the most popular performer and the successful women she is representing now for the cause of the uplift of women” said Alka Lamba, Secretary of All India Congress Committee.

“Kartina has played a tough innings to reach this platform, she is well versed with the reality of life” said Swati Piramal, the President of Assocham while handing over the award. She stood in for Priyanka Wadera, who could not make it for the show.

“Kartina Kaif is the only artist in the industry who has given continuous hits one after another like Namaste London, Partner, Welcome, Race, Sing Is Kinng, New York, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and emerged as an icon for the young generation” said Sandeep Marwah, President Marwah Studios and Executive member of the Entertainment Committee of Assocham.
