ROHIT KOCHHAR was presented the Rajiv Gandhi Award for young entrepreneur at the awards' 12th ceremony held on Wednesday, August 19. The Rajiv Gandhi Awards were instituted in 1996 and has grown to include 12 categories that include industry, sports and entertainment. The award ceremony was attended by a number of politicians and representatives from the government including Jyotiraditya Scindia, Mohammed Azharuddin, Milind Deora and Kamal Nath.

The entertainment segment of the awards ceremony saw high voltage performances by Shahid Kapur (who performed to 'Dhan-te-nan', a track from the recent film Kaminey), and dance displays by actors, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Hussain Kuwajerwala.

Rohit Kochhar, a lawyer, is the National Chairman & Managing Partner of Kochhar & Co. He is a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, Supreme Court Bar Association, Bar Council of India, the International Bar Association and the Inter Pacific Bar Association

Others who were presented with awards for achievements in their respective fields include Sam Pitroda (global Indian), Katrina Kaif (entertainment), Madhavan Nair (super achiever) and Krushnaa Patil (woman achiever).
