Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga win MTV Music Awards 2011
Katy Perry who was nominated for ten categories in the MTV Music Awards 2011, won three awards including Video of the Year Award at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

ONE OF the most renowned award functions in the field of music, MTV Music Awards 2011, began on Sunday, August 28, at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Katy Perry won three awards, including Video of the Year Award, whereas two hottest music sensations Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, won the Best Male and Female Video Award. Britney Spears was honoured with the Video Vanguard Award in the MTV Music Awards 2011.

In the category of Best New Artist, Tyler, The Creator won the award. On the MTV Music Awards 2011 night at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre, Nicki Minaj won the Best Hip-Hop Video Award and Foo Fighters won the Best Rock Video Award. Britney Spears won the Best Pop Video and Lady Gaga Won the Best Video with A Message Video Award.

Katy Perry and Kanye West won the Best Collaboration Award, whereas Sam Brown won the Best Direction in a Video.

For the Best Choreography in a Video, choreographers Frank Gatson, Sheryl Murakami and Jeffrey Page won for Beyonce — "Run the World (Girls)".

Jeff Dotson won the Best Special Effects in a Video Award, whereas Art Director Nathan Parker and Tom Townend won the Best Art Direction in a Video and the Best Cinematography in a Video awards in the MTV Music Awards 2011.

In the award night, Lady Gaga, Adele, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne were among the performers who performed at Nokia Theatre. Lady Gaga performed on "You and I", whereas Beyonce performed on "Love On Top" and Jay-Z and Kanye West performed on "Otis” in the MTV Music Awards 2011.

In the nominations announced on July 20, Katy Perry received the most nominations, 10  in the MTV Music Awards 2011, followed by Adele, and Kanye West, who tied at seven.
