Kawasaki Ninja 250R launched with price tag Rs 2.7 lakh

AFTER MONTHS of speculation about the Kawasaki Ninja bike, the wait is finally over. The internal launch took place on October 5, with the dealer launch on October 6 and the bike will be publicly launched on October 7. The highly anticipated sportsbike, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R was launched by Bajaj Auto in Pune and the bike will retail through the Bajaj probiking outlets throughout India. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R will carry a price tag of Rs 2,69,670 ex-showroom Delhi and Rs 2,69,580 ex-showroom Chennai.

The bike has been a major success across the globe for its combination of practicality, ease of use, excellent look and design. It has a four valve per cylinder, liquid cooled parallel twin engine, which churns out 33PS of power at almost 11,000 rpm. The bike will come to India from Thailand via the CKD route.

Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto said that after the bookings the delivery would happen immediately. He even said that a new version of Pulsar would also be launched very soon within three months. Lastly he said that they were experiencing production shortage in the case of Discover and Pulsar motorbikes, as the sales of these two models were jointly expected to touch 130,000 units in October. The tyres availiability is the main concern for these two vehicles and that has created a waiting period for the buyers.
