Initially the AAP leader was demanding suspension of at least five police officials involved in scuffle with his ministers. Later he got ready to settle down at their transfers. However, in last the home ministry sent the two SHOs, one from Malviya Nagar and and one from Pahar Ganj on leave. The two police officers have not been suspended but they will report to police lines of their concerned district.
The Kejriwal-led Delhi government and the home ministry were under immense pressure to solve the issue as soon as possible in wake of the Republic Day celebrations ahead and trouble to the commoners because many roads had to be closed along with four metro stations near by the protest venue outside the Rail Bhavan.
The protest which was supposed to be peaceful had become violent after the police and AAP volunteers clashed with each other. Moreover, for the first time it also looked that Arvind Kejriwal was not receiving all out support from people for his agitation as witnessed from the updates and tweets on social networking sites.
