THE MERE mention of 'campus' never fails to take us down memory lane making us feel nostalgic about our campus life bringing so many fond memories associated with it, taking us away from the present for a few beautiful moments of awakening and capturing the bygone days once again.
And then we find ourselves murmuring under our breath “Oh, how much I enjoyed my college days, I wish I could turn back time." Yes, if only we could turn back time and have the fun and masti all over again.
Well, well, well...I am sure we all will have oodles of things both good and bad to say about campus life. So, why not take you guys through a whirlwind tour into Kelly Dorjee's campus years and check out what he has to say …whether he lived his campus life to the fullest or not.
Brace yourself. Here we go...Kelly Dorjee takes us on a journey into his college days.
"I did my college from St. Xavier’s in Mumbai. I remember it being a small campus with lots of activities all the time. The kind of fun I had in college is something I will always cherish”.
So let's dig a little deeper and find out whether like all of us, he too bunked classes. And this is what he had to say, “Haaa...bunking classes and me are almost synonymous. I bunked classes all the time for all sorts of things like going for movies and stuff like that. For this, I have been caught very often and dragged to the lecture room by my professors of the History Department."
Let’s see what he thinks of his history teachers “I have just one word for them ‘awesome’. They went to the extent of spying on me and took the pain of making me sit for the lectures. Now, when I come to think of it, I marveled at their sweet gestures. I realized I am truly blessed to have them, I really appreciate that.”
Any favourite teacher? “I guess all the teachers in the History Department since they all were responsible for making me attend classes. But, I do fondly remember Shabana Mam being very sweet.” What about any crushes? “ Hmm…not really, though there were few interesting girls who caught my attention,” College life is full of memorable experiences that we always treasure. Even Kelly had his own share “One of the memorable moments was when Zakir Hussain came to our college. I have only heard about him. So, seeing him for the first time was such a big thing for me at that time." That was about his brush with a celebrity in college.
The seed of his journey into the world of modeling was sown when he was in college. "A turning point in my life was in the first year of college when I participated in Malhar Fashion Show which was choreographed by Karan Johar. I was so excited about the whole thing. I guess I would say that was really an important event in my life.”
And this one goes out to college students " I just want all of you to study hard, give your best and do the right thing " concludes Kelly.
