Kerala: Swami sexually assaults a woman who cuts off his private parts in revenge
A lot of times most of the news reports inform us that a woman was assaulted on a road side walking (maybe late night) or at a place where she happened to be at the wrong time with a wrong set of people (a bus maybe). Well, add to the list that even the ashrams are now no longer safe for women.

To cut the long story short, a woman can get assaulted at any time and at any place in our country and God knows when we will stop blaming the victims for being responsible for such crimes.

A similar incident happened at an ashram located in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. And call it the guts of the woman who took strong action against it by cutting off the genitals of her assaulter.

The swami, Gangeshananda Teethapadam alias Hariswami, 54, of Chattambi Ashramam Panmana in Kollam, was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

A statement from the police read that the swami had been sexually abusing this girl since she had been a student of class X and this is how her eight-year-long ordeal ended.

The girl chopped off the penis of the swami, who was a self-styled godman. The girl is a law student has alleged that the swami would often come to their home, meet her mother and whenever he would get a chance, rape her.

The accused swami claimed to be a saint in association with Chattambi Swami Ashram at Panmana in Kollam district. But the ashram authorities have, however, dismissed any association with him.

An IPC section 376 (rape) case has been registered against the swami and under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act. No case has been registered against the woman.
