Kevin Eubanks, bandleader on Tonight Show quits
Kevin Eubanks, longtime band leader on the show, has called it quits and will not be returning to the Tonight Show. This might create a choppy situation for Jay Leno as he returns to the show.

AFTER A long range of controversies on various issues, including Conan O Brien, if Tonight show Jay Leno had expected his return to the show to be a smooth one, he must be disapppointed. The longtime band leader on the show, Kevin Eubanks has called it quits and will not be returning to the Tonight Show.

Kevin Eubanks was the one person who maintained an easy banter with Jay Leno, providing some light moments to the Tonight show. There is a lot of speculation around the event with many point that this could add to the hiccups on the show. Some, on the other hand, believe that this a perfect opportunity for Jay Leno to reinvent himself.

While the search is on for a new bandleader, who could fit into Kevin Eubanks shoes, rumours have already popped up some names for the position. While some say that former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker may get the job, others are suggesting Lyle Lovett, Ben Folds, Randy Newman, Kay Hanley and even Timbaland for the position.
