In 1985, Kevin Garn and Cheryl Maher who was 15 on that time shared a single bath tub with each other and Garn took her to Salt Lake City on that night. Cheryl contacted Garn again in 2002 after a long gap when she came to know that Kevin Garn is running a U.S congress. However Senate Majority Leader in Utah, Kevin Garn confessed that spending that night with Cheryl and paying money to her are biggest mistakes of his life.
Kavin Garn, the Utah House majority Senator on Thursday after the House adjourned said, Mehar was blackmailing him and threatened to disclose their past relationship to media and public and he was really afraid of being embarrassed, and humiliated in front of public at that time and paid money to Cheryl to keep her mouth shut.
Garn, whose wife publicly supported him, yesterday received a warm round of applause after his statement from his fellow lawmakers.
